Raw feminine sportswear trend

Nowadays, nobody belief that women's sport clothing can not be aligned with the fashion world and especially with the current style trends. In recent seasons, sportswear brands have realized that it is important for women to feel beautiful and stylish even when they are in the gym or jogging. For this reason they have decided to create clothing with more feminine lines and in partnerships in the more glamorous fashion world. A hot trend in designer clothing for women this season is the raw and rugged look actually made of pleated fabrics, deconstructed linen that is layered with visible and simple tie closures. This season looks should also reflect lightness, equilibrium and romance. This target feelings can be transmitted with soft clothes and tops with details like ethereal ruffles, flounces and drapes.

This season trend elevated sportswear to the status of street wear in all its aspects and essences. Youth tomboy cool looks are back again. The coolness factor can be obtained with low waist jeans, jersey fabrics and shoulder-style football shirts combined with super feminine elements as transparent fabrics and chic shoes.

When women begin to practice recreational and professional sports, they had to fight the installed preconceptions of a male dominated sports industry that has not prepare to deal with millions of women practicing and competing in multiple sports. The way the industry created their products had to change because the focus now has to be not only in comfortable and efficient products but mainly in presenting fashionable looks that will appeal this growing female mass market. Women's sport clothing is now a market that surpass the male market, this fact can be explained by two reasons: first women invaded gyms and sport arenas in mass and secondly women spent in average much more money in clothes than men.

Nowadays, women have shown their capability to to practice and even dominate all sports. They practice the traditional ones like gym activities (aerobics, fitness activities, running, yoga, etc), track and field based games (soccer, tennis, basketball, etc.) but also extreme and radical sports like mixed martial arts fighting, boxing, skateboarding, climbing, etc.

The increasing number of women athletes, clothing manufacturers turn to fashion designers in order to develop the more beautiful appeal clothing for them. Moreover, female athletes have some specific requirements that must be considered in order to allow them to compete properly and efficiently in some sports. Researchers have developed high-tech performance fabrics that allow the creating of sport clothing that are both comfortable and functional sportive women.

Currently, many sport stores today offer a complete line of women's sport clothing and accessories. One example, are the sport bras made of spandex materials that present high necklines providing full coverage and maximum support and comfort. Designers have incorporated arched seams and used the right combination of hook-and-eye closures to provide an extremely strong hold. Other sport bras present also a wide elastic straps to keep the bra in the correct position.

Not only the professional women athletes have strict requirements for sport clothing, many women practice sports or softer physical activities just to have fun and stay in shape with equal or higher requirements for the sportswear.

Fashion designers have already being creating women's sport clothing for years. They have created sportswear for the various types of women's sport activities and we start to see high-fashion designer associating with traditional sport brands to create unique and appealing sport clothing collections. The main objective that fashion designers try to uphold is for women enjoy a good work out while looking attractive and feeling sexy. This proves that sport brands should not limit their target market to professional women athletes because there are an huge market base of women who are simply into sport and willing to spend what ever needed to get the appropriate fashionable clothing.
